  • Inglewood Bird Sanctuary & Nature Centre - This 34-hectare nature attraction is located along the Bow River. Spot yellow-rumped, orange-crowned and Wilson’s warblers as you learn more about the migration monitoring station.
  • Nose Hill Park - Rugged terrain makes this park a top pick for hiking aficionados. Hilly paths and trails offer the perfect setting to feel the wind in your hair as you bike along paths, or sprint to the finish of your favorite training course.  
  • Prince’s Island Park - Situated on the Bow River, Calgarians love to unwind here. This natural attraction lets you reel in your catch during a fishing excursion, stroll along the river’s scenic edge or admire the beautiful flower gardens. Many festivals are hosted here throughout the year.
  • Riley Park - This lovely park is home to two cricket leagues. Dance to the tunes of the Calgary Concert Band. Contemplate life in the Burns Memorial Rock Gardens. In the summer, an ice cream at the snack bar is the perfect way to cool off. 
  • Banff National Park - Spanning 2,564 square miles, Banff National Park is Canada's first national park and one of the world’s premier destination spots. The park features a mix of towering mountains, glittering glaciers, lush alpine meadows, and natural mineral hot springs. Known for its powder white snow, the park offers the best ski conditions in Canada.
  • Elk Island National Park - Elk Island National Park is an important refuge for elk, bison and over 250 bird species in Canada. The tranquil surroundings offer the ideal spot to spread a blanket and enjoy a picnic during the day or camp out overnight and gaze into the starry skies.
  • Wood Buffalo National Park - Renowned as a national historic site and the country’s largest national park, Wood Buffalo National Park was established to protect the last remaining herds of bison in northern Canada. Today, the park is a wonderful example of Canada's Northern Boreal Plains.
  • Jasper National Park - Spanning over 6,700 square miles of mountain wilderness, Jasper National Park is the largest park located within the Canadian Rockies. The park is an international destination for hiking, skiing at Marmot Bason, and home to some of the rarest animals in North America, including grizzly bears and caribou.
